, ever wonder what you’ve been put on this earth for? What specific set of skills, shaped by your life experiences, can you steward to make a positive impact? Maybe you’ve felt called to do something that no one who looks like you is already doing. And maybe no one has the same perspective as you because it was forged by the obstacles you’ve overcome. We’re only here for a short time—so why not do something that makes a positive difference?
These are the types of questions multi-millionaires and billionaires spend countless hours intentionally thinking about. Continue reading as I share takeaways from recent conferences I attended about the power of mindset, proximity, and calling.

🎨 Conference Takeaways
Last weekend, SARE Ladies, led by Anita Wong and Ashley Cao, hosted an incredible conference– or rather “Anti-conference Conference”– in Las Vegas. It was one of the most thoughtful, intentional, and unconventional “conferences” I’ve ever attended. The organizers and volunteers created a sacred space for vulnerability, generosity, learning, and connection. Here are some takeaways:
“No longer a man’s world”Lisa Song Sutton– entrepreneur, real estate investor and former Miss Nevada– shared striking statistics: more single women are owning real estate than other types of buyers, female founders are delivering higher returns, and Asian American women are the fastest-growing group of entrepreneurs in the U.S. 🤯I felt so encouraged by her talk, “Feminine & Powerful: 5 Lessons in Navigating a ‘Man’s Business’.” As an Asian American woman, what a perfect time to be alive. The bamboo/glass ceiling can’t hold back much longer!
“You can’t improve what you’re not measuring.”Amanda Fornelli—entrepreneur, investor, and co-founder of The Systems Academy—emphasized the power of systems and processes as the foundation for scaling. Too often, entrepreneurs stay stuck reacting to “urgent” distractions. She shared how her husband, DJ, once got news of a broken rental right before stepping on stage. Thanks to the systems they had built, the problem was resolved before he even finished speaking. Without systems, we end up working in our business instead of on it—which is just another job. True financial and time freedom only come with structure. I’m in The Systems Academy myself and love it—especially as I juggle a demanding W-2 job with my real estate career. Systems and automations are key!
“Life is better when you're able to move with other people"Philip Wang– co-founder of Wong Fu Productions, producer, writer, director and best-selling author– reminded us to “send back the elevator” when we reach a new level. There is strength in community, and operating out of an abundance mindset will get you further than trying to do it all on your own. He also encouraged the Asian American community to support each other more in the arts and film industries. Our stories deserve to be told, and we can do that better if we intentionally invest in one another—moving upward together.
It’s Phil and me back in 2006 on his tour of “Yellow Fever” with Wong Fu Productions.
And us nearly 20 years later– so much older.. And wiser! 😂 There were so many more takeaways, read more in my Instagram post.

🎙️💻 Teaching about Investing in Accessibility
This month I presented at a Member Spotlight session in the HelloRentals community! It was an incredible opportunity to share why investing in accessibility is good for business, the great need for more accessible housing/rentals, and what to consider when renovating a home. It’s a huge personal milestone for me as I begin teaching more people about Accessibility. I plan on hosting a webinar soon to teach more folks—so keep a lookout!
